ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಶಿಧರ್ ಕೋಟೆ ಅವರು, ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಆಶಯ ನುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಎಸ್. ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಾರ್ತಿ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವರಾಮು ಅವರು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಚನ್ನಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಹಾಡು ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಭಾಷಣ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮನ ಮೆಚ್ಚುವಂತಿದ್ದು ರಮಾ ಸುದರ್ಶನ್ ಅವರು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಾ, ಶ್ರಾವಣಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ಕವಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪದ್ಮನಾಭ ಡಿ. ಹರಿನರಸಿಂಹ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೂಡ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಚಾರ್ಲಿ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ನೋಡಿ ಮೈಮನಸ್ಸು ತಂಪಾದ ಭಾವ ಮೂಡಿದ್ದು ಸುಳ್ಳಲ್ಲ. ನಾಯಕ‌ನಟಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಮೂಕಪ್ರಾಣಿ/ಸಾಕು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯನ್ನೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ನಂತಹ ಮಾರಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಎದುರಾಗುವ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳು, ಎದುರಿಸುವ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಂತಹ ಕಲ್ಲು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕೂಡ ಕರಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಒರಟು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕೂಡ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಸೋಲುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಹಾಡುಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುನುಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂತಾರ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿಯವರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು. ನಿಜ ಕಾಂತಾರ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಏಕೆ & ಹೇಗೆ ಗೆಲುವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿತು ಎಂದರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೋಲದಿಂದ ಎಂದರು. ಕೆಲವರು ಕ್ಲೈಮಾಕ್ಸ್ ನಿಂದ, ಹಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಎಂಬ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಹೊರಹಾಕಿದರು‌.

ಆದರೆ ಮೋದಿಯವರೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಲು ಏನು ಕಾರಣ, ಅವರೇನು ಸಿನೆಮಾ ನೋಡುತ್ತ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವರೇ? ಅಷ್ಟು ಸಮಯವಾದರೂ ಇದೆಯೇ? Save Forest,  Save Trees Save Tribals ಕಾಡು & ಕಾಡಿನ ಜನರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಕತೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆ ಗಳಿಸಿತು.

ನಿಜ, ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನಾಂಗದವರು, ಸಿದ್ದಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರು (Tribals) ಆದಿವಾಸಿಗಳು, ದಲಿತರು, ಕಾಡಿನ ಸಮೀಪವೇ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವರು, ಕಾಡೊಳಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಕಾಡಿನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರಹಾಕುವ ಹುನ್ನಾರ ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ. ಭೂಮಾಫಿಯಾ , ಅರಣ್ಯನಾಶ  ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೆಸರು ನೀಡಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಅಳಿವಿನ ಅಂಚಿಗೆ ತಳ್ಳುವ ಲೋಭಿಗಳು ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳು ಇರುವುದು ಇಂದು ನಿನ್ನೆಯಿಂದಲ್ಲ.

ನಿಜ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಜ‌ನರಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯಿದೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಧಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್, ಓಟರ್ ಐಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲ, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಇಲ್ಲ ಸರಿಯಾದ ರಸ್ತೆಮಾರ್ಗವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಶಾಲೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಓದಿನಿಂದ ವಂಚಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೊರ ಪ್ರಪಂಚಕ್ಕೆ ಒಗ್ಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಹೊರ ಪ್ರಪಂಚಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತರಬಹುದು. ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಿವಿ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಓಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಮೈಕಾದ ಹುಸೇನ್ ಬೋಲ್ಟ್ ನ ಕೂಡ ಮೀರಿಸಬಹುದು. ಅಂದರೆ ಇವರು ಕೂಡ ಅಷ್ಟು ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಈಗೀಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ‌‌ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬೆಳಕು ಹರಿದಿರಬಹುದು. ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದಿರಬಹುದು, ಕರೆಂಟು, ಟಿವಿ ಮೊಬೈಲು, ಶಾಲೆ ಬಂದಿರಬಹುದು. ಅವರ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣ ಕೂಡ ಬೇರೆಯದೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಹಾರ ಪದ್ದತಿ ಹಬ್ಬ ಆಚರಣೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಬೇರೆಯೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಅವರನ್ನು ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೊಡಿಸುವ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಡು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಟಿಯ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಪ್ಯಾಂಟು ಶರ್ಟು ಧರಿಸಿ ಬರುವ ಜನರನ್ನು‌ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಒಳ ಓಡುವವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಭಾಗದ ಕತೆಯಲ್ಲ. ನೆರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಇದೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅನೇಕ ಸಿನೆಮಾಗಳು ಬಂದಿವೆ ಕೂಡ. ದಲಿತರ ಪರ ಸಿನೆಮಾಗಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದವು. ಸಿನೆಮಾದಿಂದ ದಂಗೆ ಏಳಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಸಿನೆಮಾಗಳು ಬರಬೇಕೇ ವಿನಃ ಪ್ಯಾನ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೋಗಿ ರಕ್ತ ಹರಿಸುವ ಸಮಾಜಘಾತಕ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಮಾಡುವುದಲ್ಲ.ಲಾಜಿಕ್ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಬ್ಜದಂತಹ ರುಂಡ ತುಂಡರಿಸಿ ಮನೆ ತನಕ ತರುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಬೆಚ್ಚಿ ಬೀಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಸಮಾಜದ ಮೇಲೆ‌ ಎಂತಹ ದುಷ್ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರಬಹುದು ನೀವೇ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ. ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇಂತಹ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ನೋಡುವ ಹಾಗೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಲಿವ್ ಇನ್ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಜಗಳ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ತುಂಡು ತುಂಡು ಮಾಡಿ‌ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲೋ ಫ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ನಲ್ಲೋ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಡುವ ಹೇಯ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ.

ಅಂತದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪದೇಪದೆ ಅಂತಹದೇ ಸಿನೆಮಾಗಳ ಮಾಡಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಏನಾಗಬೇಡ.

ಸಾಲದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೋಟಿ‌ಕೋಟಿ ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಕಾಂಚಾಣ ಕುರುಡು ಎಂದರೆ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಲಾರದು. ಸೈನ್ಸಾರ್ ಮಂಡಳಿಯವರು ಹೇಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ಸಿನೆಮಾದ

ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದರು. ರಕ್ತ ಚೆಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲೇ ಓಕಳಿಯಾಟ, ಕುರಿ ಕೊಯ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ರುಂಡ ತುಂಡರಿಸುವುದು ಇದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಹೇಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವರು??

ಅಂತಹ ಭೀಕರ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಹಾಕಬೇಕಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಹಣವೇ ಮೇಲುಗೈ ಸಾಧಿಸಿತೇನೋ?  ಹೋಗಲಿ ಮೂರು ಮೂರು ದಿಗ್ಗಜರು (ನಾಯಕನಟರು) ಕೂಡ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು.?? ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತೋಚಿಸಬೇಕಿತ್ತು..
